Customer Challenge
The customer was attempting to complete phase 1 of a new data center build on a tight construction schedule, which was constantly changing. To complete the first phase, 29 outdoor units needed to be transported across the country from multiple OEMs to site, without delays, and set in place. These delivery schedules were unpredictable and would ultimately lead to significant onsite delays, should equipment delivery be delayed. These 29 units are critical to the construction schedule and ultimately dictate the project completion date.
Our Solution
ProLift took ownership of all 29 units the moment they left the OEM floor. We scheduled pick ups from the OEM, transported the units across country to a secure storage location close to the project location. This allowed for any delays to only impact the storage time rather than time onsite. We then could loadout, perform last mile delivery, offload, and set each unit right when the project schedule called for it. This eliminated all delays related to transportation and equipment delivery and allowed for the project to be completed as planned.
