Scope of Work
- Crane and lifting services including engineered lift and rigging plans
- Demo of structures, equipment and piping
- Steel erection
- Demo modification to existing bag house hoppers
- Structural steel erection of silo structure
- Installation of all associated equipment, motors, pumps, conveyors, ect.
- Installation/ welding of all piping – air and process
Customer Challenge
This was the third plant to have Fly Ash modifications completed. The first two were self-performed by the general contractor and neither were profitable. Both had long shutdowns and required about 16,000 man hours to complete.
Our Solution
We completed this job quicker and more efficiently than before. We had major completion of the project 2 weeks early with 50% less labor than the first two plants. There was a 25-day shutdown and this project was profitable. We stored all new equipment at our yard and established “just in time” deliveries to site which relieved site congestion and multiple handling. We removed all demolished structures and equipment from site in the largest possible pieces to our yard which also relieved site congestion. This was all completed without an incident.
